Missouri State University Theatre and Dance will have their final performance of “The Secret Garden” for a virtual audience Friday.

After being postponed in the spring due to COVID-19, the performance of “The Secret Garden” is available in a streamed setting Thursday and Friday evening.

The performance will follow 11-year-old Mary, who is sent to live with her reclusive Uncle Archibald in the English countryside after her parents died in colonial India, according to the MSU theater and dance department.

While her uncle mourns the loss of his wife from a decade earlier, Mary meets 10-year-old Colin, who is confined to his room. Seeking to escape the gloom, Mary ventures outside and discovers a mysterious walled garden that has been locked since her aunt’s death.

This musical adaptation of the classic Victorian children’s book “The Secret Garden” is a tale of hope and healing.

The performance is slated for 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available through ShowTix4U.
