Yemi Alade’s Vacation Home Kitchen Is So Stunning But She’s Never Actually Cooked In It

Singer-songwriter Yemi Alade showed us around her vacation home’s kitchen, and besides it being absolutely stunning, she talked about what makes it more unique than most other kitchens.

Yemi Alade Shows Us Her Home Kitchen

When it comes to her kitchen staples, fresh fruits and vegetables are an absolute must. On her countertop, she had a platter of grapes, apples, pineapple, and some watermelon already chopped up and ready to be eaten. In her fridge she also had some drinks and leftovers, including a whole roasted fish that she kept in there to finish for lunch.

Since this is Yemi’s vacation home, her cabinets and pantry are practically empty as she doesn’t need ingredients and has admittedly never cooked in this kitchen: “In this particular pantry—my second home away from home—we find nothing in my pantry because I never cook. I never need to cook, and that is the fun part about this kitchen. You just get into this kitchen and get fed,” she said. One of her favorite foods to eat is bolognese.

The only thing she keeps in the cabinets are…plates. Seriously! There are not even pots and pans. Some things you’ll never find in her kitchen (besides basic ingredients!)? Firstly, zucchini is a no-go because she finds the vegetable “very weird.” She’ll also never have catfish around because she can’t eat it. You’ll also never ever find frog’s feet in her kitchen because although it’s a delicacy in her area, she just doesn’t like it.

“I think my kitchen is the coolest kitchen ever because ask any person out there and the coolest kitchen is the kitchen where you don’t have to cook because food is always available and it’s tasty,” Yemi said. “I should call my kitchen magic kitchen or something.”

Prince Harry Just Gave Fans a Glimpse of His New Santa Barbara Home’s Stunning Decor

Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan recently moved into a new home in Montecito, Santa Barbara, with their son, Archie Mountbatten-Windsor. And throughout their relocating—as well as the pandemic—the Sussexes have continued their charity endeavors both in-person and remotely, regularly filming videos and partaking in calls to support important causes.

This week, Harry appeared in a video supporting the Trailwalker Relay, a 100-kilometer event taking place virtually this year, organized with the Gurkha Welfare Trust and Oxfam. Wearing a smart black shirt and debuting a sleek hairstyle, Harry thanked all involved with the event from his new home.

The video also gave fans a peek into the home’s decor. Featuring lush greenery outside a large window, a tall house plant, and a chic neutral-colored chair, the interior design seems to be as warm and inviting as the message of his video.

Addressing viewers, Harry said, “Almost five years ago, I traveled to Nepal to meet families and see firsthand how the country was rebuilding after the devastating 2015 earthquake. Buildings, temples, homes, and entire villages had been completely demolished. But it was clear that despite everything the Nepalese faced, their spirit and their resilience never weakened. There was a clear sense of care and compassion for each other.

“With COVID-19, the world is being pitted against a new challenge,” the duke continued. “One that is devastating and destructive in its own right, and I am heartened to see that, once again, the Nepalese spirit is unwavering. In Afghanistan, I was honored to serve alongside The Royal Gurkha Rifles. These soldiers showed me what they believe

A mum has revealed how she transformed her grotty old bathroom into a stunning retreat in a few weekends – and she saved thousands by doing it herself.

Australian woman Connie Lane spent just $5,000 on her ‘budget bathroom renovation’, saying it’s ‘one hell of an improvement from the original space’.

Typically, homeowners in Australia can expect to spend between $18,000 and $25,000 on a new bathroom.

‘It took a few weekends as there was a delay in receiving our shower wet walls.

‘But I think we kept it under $5k. We may have a few cents left and all work was done by us.’

Connie revealed where she bought all of the items from in the bathroom, including the bath and shower screen from Builders’ Discount Warehouse and the shower walls from Mr Wet Wall.

‘I bought the vanity from IKEA, the tapware and a wine rack for the towels from Catch of the Day and the barn door, paint, panels and trims all came from Bunnings Warehouse,’ she said.

Finally, the vinyl flooring came from Evolved Floors, and the mirror was a splurge buy from Temple and Webster.

‘It’s one hell of an improvement from the original bathroom. Now if the boys mess it up they’ll be showering outside,’ Connie concluded.
