Aqua Aura Store Set To Disrupt the Home Decor Industry with Hand Crafted Home Decor Collections

New prominent home decor brand, Aqua Aura Store, takes the industry by storm with their range of premium quality luxurious custom products

Aqua Aura currently offers a plethora of handcrafted home décor products exclusively made in Canada using eco-friendly materials.

The global home décor industry has witnessed a series of evolution over the years and the market has continued to grow, thanks to the influx of several brands into the industry. According to a report published by Allied Market Research, the global home decor market was valued at over $616 billion in 2019 and is estimated to reach $838.6 billion by 2027, with the U.S., Canada, and Germany being major players in the market. While several brands have emerged to help consumers beautify their internal and external spaces and make them functionally useful, many of the available products do not meet the desire of customers, especially in the aspect of exclusivity. Consequently, Sonia T and her team at Aqua Aura Store are looking to change this narrative with their range of optimal products.

California wildfire destroys family’s iconic store and house hours apart

The Creek fire in California has been destroying hundreds of homes and structures since Friday evening. Among them, a beloved and historic general store that has served the Fresno community since 1904.

Nestled in the mountains near Shaver Lake and China Peak ski resort, Cressman’s became the popular spot to stop for vacationers going to the lake or ski cabins, but it also provided food, fuel and supplies for local families and loggers.

“Cressman’s has established a reputation in our area for just being such a special spot for people to stop at,” Cressman’s owner Tara Gillett and her husband Ty told Fox News. “Parents will tell their kids ‘I remember when I used to stop here when I was a kid.’ Families are just mourning with us and we’ve really seen that come alive in the past couple days. It’s just being felt across the entire mountain.”

(Courtesy: Cressman’s General Store)

On Monday, Ty and a group of friends tried to prepare the store for the surging flames. They brought down over 40 trees and placed hoses and water pumps all around the area to help bolster its defense.

The fire arrived by 9:30 p.m.

“We are very prepared, but we were not prepared for what was coming. And it ran us out of there very quickly,” Ty recalled. “We were basically completely surrounded by the fire by the time we left and it was throwing hot embers over our head.”

Ty accredited the firefighters and their expertise for getting them out of the area and keeping them alive that night.

The Creek fire wasn’t done with the Gillett family just yet. As Ty left Cressman’s, he watched the flames move across the forest, directly toward his home. The fire burned the house down to its foundation.

The Gillett's home in Pine Ridge, California, was completely destroyed by the fires on the same night their family business was scorched.

Ty and Tara, along with their two young children, had evacuated their home in Pine Ridge, which they say is just about a mile from Cressman’s, earlier that day and were able to save a few of their most valued possessions.

“I wish we had a do-over because even when I was packing, I didn’t think that would be the last time I would be in my home,” Tara said. “So there’s things now that I wish I would have gotten, like my wedding dress out so my daughter can play in it when she gets older.”

According to Cal Fire, approximately 14,000 firefighters are battling 28 major wildfires across California.

“The fire was so hot that it was hard to comprehend that it was burning things so fast that there was nothing left,” Ty said.

Cal Fire spokesman Seth Brown said the flames that consumed Cressman’s were driven by strong winds.

5 things you shouldn’t store in the bathroom

By Nneka Jonas Time of article published1h ago

Share this article:

Many people get ready in their bathroom each morning. For convenience’s sake, we store a lot of items that we will need in the morning in our bathroom as well, but it turns out that we should be more selective when it comes to that.

Here are five things you shouldn’t store in the bathroom.

1. Towels

This one will probably come as a surprise to a lot of people. However, it’s better to find a place to store your towels outside of your bathroom. Bathrooms are damp and moist places, a breeding ground for bacteria, and towels are especially susceptible to fungi.

If you intend to keep your towels in the bathroom, make sure you hang them up properly.

2. Bathrobes

Apparently a bathrobe should not be stored in the bathroom, even though it sounds so logical. Bacteria and the fungi can settle easily in the fabric, and the moisture in the room can cause the robe to smell musty.

3. Books and magazines

Some people like to read while they are taking a bath (or sitting on the toilet). However, books and magazines absorb the moisture in your bathroom more quickly. This will result in wrinkled pages and glue that no longer sticks.

4. Jewellery

You might store your jewellery in the bathroom because that is where the mirror is. Unfortunately, moisture causes jewellery to tarnish, especially silver jewellery which is more sensitive to moisture.

5. Perfume

Many people store their perfume in their bathroom. However, the sudden temperature changes affect the perfume molecules which can cause the perfume to start smelling sour.

Apple reveals opening date and interior photos of floating Singapore store

Apple’s new Marina Bay Sands store in Singapore is opening on Thursday, Sept. 10.

The retail outlet attracted attention last month, even before opening, as it is truly different from every other Apple store — it’s a floating, glowing sphere, located in front of the famous Marina Bay Sands hotel.

Now, in a blog post, Apple has shared some more info about the store that’s nearly ready to start welcoming visitors. The company says its dome is an all-glass structure comprised of 114 pieces of glass, additionally supported with 10 vertical mullions. This way, the store will provide its visitors a 360-degree view of the surrounding skyline, and the opening on top of the dome will provide natural light to the interior.

The top floor of the store also has a Forum with a massive video wall. The company plans to use it for its Today at Apple sessions, with Singapore’s artists and musicians taking the stage.

New Feilding interior design store rolls out the red carpet for first customers

Managing director of Blackshire Interiors John Middleton in his new Feilding interior design store that combines a Carpet Court and a CurtainStudio store with an interior design studio.

A new Feilding interior design store has rolled out the red carpet to welcome customers.

Blackshire Interiors opened a joint Carpet Court and CurtainStudio showroom on Manchester St, in the old Farmlands building on Thursday.

It’s the first time the building has had a long-term commercial tenant since Farmlands moved to South St and had mostly stood empty for more than five years.

Blackshire owner John Middleton said it was good time to open a new store in his industry despite the current economic uncertainty created by coronavirus.

* Government splashes cash at struggling tourism sector
* ‘Buy local’ campaigns paying off for Manawatū businesses
* Manawatū career expo goes online

“People have been spending more time in their own homes recently, so many are taking the discretionary spending they might have spent on travel and putting into the spaces around them,” Middleton said.

Middleton has been in the carpet and flooring industry for two decades.

He founded Feilding’s Carpet Pro Cleaning and Repairs 20 years ago and sold it to his top technician, who still owns it, when he went to work for Carpet Court’s national merchandise team five-and-a-half years ago.

There was some of the highest demand for housing, and therefore carpet and interior design, in Manawatū that he’d ever seen.

“The housing and flooring industry is going gangbusters, so it’s a really exciting time [for us].”

The latest Central Economic Development Agency figures showed Manawatū had a 79 per cent increase in new house consents when comparing the June financial quarters from 2019 to 2020.

A range of other economic benchmarks showed Manwatū has been largely insulated from the worst of Covid-19’s economic disruption.

Palmerston North had 2347 residents on the Jobseeker benefit in July, a 36 per cent increase from July 2019.

Agency chief executive Linda Stewart said Manawatū took a hit, but was outperforming the national economy because of its diverse economy, with strong agricultural, education, public administration, logistics and construction sectors.

The new showroom employs three staff, and Middleton was confident he would be in a position to hire another staff member around the new year.

What are the steps to remodeling a house?

The steps depend on what type of renovations you want to do. If you’re updating a few fixtures here and there, well, you just have to remove the old ones and install the new ones.

Food Clutter? Let Kitchen Cabinet Doors Store Yours

As necessities of life go, food is right up there with oxygen and call display. Consequently, we need a lot of it on hand at all times, which can lead to challenges when it comes to organization and storage. One solution involves the creative use of kitchen cabinet doors to help improve efficiency and reduce clutter.

With our busy lifestyles, you simply don’t have time to be constantly searching for a certain ingredient or guessing at what’s in the pantry. From here on, thanks to the versatility of kitchen cabinet doors, you don’t have to. By developing a system and structuring your kitchen accordingly, you can bypass the frantic food hunt and rest easy, secure in the knowledge that you’ll always know what you have, how much you have and where you have it.

Slide, Store and Savor

Are you constantly rummaging through cupboards to find those last few potatoes for Sunday dinner? You can make life easier with baskets that slide out of a lower cabinet for easy access. If you’re already doing kitchen renovations, just include this in your plans.

Otherwise, you can remove kitchen cabinets doors and install the hardware or have a custom designer do it instead. In their “procrastination speech”, your parents may have warned you not to let things slide, but this is one time where it pays to ignore them.

Dare to be Shallow

Most of us won’t give shallow people the time of day, but a shallow pantry is worth making time for. Sure, it limits the capacity of the space, but it also makes it easier to use by forcing everything to the front. In an instant, you can open kitchen cabinet doors, grab what you want and take note of what you need.

For even more efficiency, try to group similar items together when you can. Done correctly, the shallow approach can lower your meal time stress and keep you from going off the deep end.

Stay on Track with a Rack

One advantage of limited space is that it forces you to be resourceful and find a better way of doing things. That includes making elements of your kitchen do double duty wherever possible.

For example, kitchen cabinet doors can moonlight as spice holders when you mount a rack on the side facing inward. Not only are the spices easier to reach this way, but it also gives you more room to work with in the cabinet itself. “Off the rack” might have a negative connotation, but “on the rack” has nothing but upside for your food storage concerns.

Modular Magic

Because we tend to see the rooms in our house as separate entities, we rarely think of taking something that works in one room and applying it to another. That’s a shame, as we miss out on some real opportunities.

A case in point is the modular system used in a bedroom closet. While it’s excellent for organizing shoes and socks, it’s equally adept at coordinating items in …
