Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Open Up About Baby Archie’s Huge Milestone (& Show Off Their Living Room Decor)

It sounds like Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s son, Archie, has reached quite a few major milestones!

While having a virtual chat with education activist Malala Yousafzai for International Day of the Girl, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex opened up about spending more quality time with their one-year-old, admitting that they were able to see him walk for the first time.

Prince Harry revealed, “We were both there for his first steps. His first run, his first fall, his first everything.”

Meghan added, “In so many ways we are fortunate to be able to have this time to watch him grow, and in the absence of COVID, we would be traveling and working more. We’d miss a lot of those moments.”

The royal couple did their interview from their living room, which happens to be a popular spot in their Santa Barbara estate. As seen in previous public recordings, the room features a cream sofa with patterned cushions, a colorful plant, and a trio of unique paintings.

The rare update on Archie comes only a few days after Markle opened up about how he’s kept them busy at home. While doing a video call with Evening Standard, she said, “We are doing well. [Archie] is so good. We are very lucky with our little one. He is just so busy, he is all over the place. He keeps us on our toes. We are just so lucky.”

And so is Archie to have such supportive parents!

Prince Harry Just Gave Fans a Glimpse of His New Santa Barbara Home’s Stunning Decor

Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan recently moved into a new home in Montecito, Santa Barbara, with their son, Archie Mountbatten-Windsor. And throughout their relocating—as well as the pandemic—the Sussexes have continued their charity endeavors both in-person and remotely, regularly filming videos and partaking in calls to support important causes.

This week, Harry appeared in a video supporting the Trailwalker Relay, a 100-kilometer event taking place virtually this year, organized with the Gurkha Welfare Trust and Oxfam. Wearing a smart black shirt and debuting a sleek hairstyle, Harry thanked all involved with the event from his new home.

The video also gave fans a peek into the home’s decor. Featuring lush greenery outside a large window, a tall house plant, and a chic neutral-colored chair, the interior design seems to be as warm and inviting as the message of his video.

Addressing viewers, Harry said, “Almost five years ago, I traveled to Nepal to meet families and see firsthand how the country was rebuilding after the devastating 2015 earthquake. Buildings, temples, homes, and entire villages had been completely demolished. But it was clear that despite everything the Nepalese faced, their spirit and their resilience never weakened. There was a clear sense of care and compassion for each other.

“With COVID-19, the world is being pitted against a new challenge,” the duke continued. “One that is devastating and destructive in its own right, and I am heartened to see that, once again, the Nepalese spirit is unwavering. In Afghanistan, I was honored to serve alongside The Royal Gurkha Rifles. These soldiers showed me what they believe

Sneak a Peek at Kate Middleton & Prince William in the Kitchen Together

Kate Middleton and Prince William are quite the pair in the kitchen! The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge paid a visit to a famous East London bakery, Beigel Bake, in an effort to highlight businesses supporting their local communities during the COVID-19 pandemic. In a video shared to Instagram Wednesday, William and Kate can be seen wearing red aprons while donning face masks helping the bagel shop with their morning routine.

Beigel Bake, opened in 1977, is a family-run business serving thousands of bagels every day. Before the pandemic, the bakery was open 24-hours — but after having to furlough many of its employees had to cut back the shop’s hours of operation.

The co-owner of the Brick Lane eatery, Amnon Cohen, told the Jewish Chronicle that the royal couple was really nice and that they weren’t afraid to get their hands dirty. And Amnon’s son, who also works at the bakery added: “they were very informal, colloquial speaking which was great to see and it was nice to see them out and about.”

The Duke and Duchess appeared to have a real knack for bagel-making. “They were really good,” Cohen’s son continued. They had a light touch.” One of the employees even joked, “you’re after my job.” According to the JC, the bakery was forced to furlough most of its staff earlier in the pandemic after reducing opening hours, but months later, more than half of workers are back.

And the bagel shop was very appreciative of the royals’ help. “We can’t thank @kensingtonroyal enough for their gratitude,” involvement and kindness. We feel truly blessed by all the support during COVID-19 and happy we can provide that Beigel fix ‼️”

‘The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’ House Is Back! What’s Up With This Famous Mansion Today

Remember “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,” the hit NBC show from the 1990s starring Will Smith as a streetwise teen from Philadelphia sent to live with his rich relatives in a gorgeous mansion in Bel-Air, CA? That iconic house has now returned to the limelight as an Airbnb rental.

Starting on Sept. 29, Los Angeles County residents will have a chance to book one of five October stays in the Fresh Prince’s wing of the mansion. And it can all be yours for the astonishingly low price of just $30 per night—a fan-friendly rate set to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the home’s TV debut.

Guests will revel in the home’s ’90s decor and amenities as well as enjoy exclusive Airbnb experience perks, including donning a new pair of Air Jordans to shoot hoops in the bedroom, dining on literal silver platters (all meals are included), and playing the home’s vinyl collection on a turntable like the one owned by show co-star DJ Jazzy Jeff.

YOOOO!! Y’all think we should rent out the @freshprince house?? We’re making it happen with the squad at @airbnb!! #FreshPrince30th

A post shared by Will Smith (@willsmith) on Sep 13, 2020 at 6:00pm PDT

Given the world we live in today, all local COVID-19 guidelines will be strictly enforced. (The home will be scrubbed between guests, following both CDC and Airbnb enhanced cleaning protocols.) In fact, guests (two max per stay) must show proof of L.A. County residency and live in the same household to minimize potential health risks.

And to help celebrate community and support youth during this 30th year milestone, Airbnb is making a donation to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Philadelphia, which happens to also be Smith’s hometown. Isn’t that sweet?

The reality behind the Fresh Prince mansion

Of course this is a made-for-TV tale, so not everything is exactly true to life, including the location of the famed estate. For one, it isn’t in Bel-Air—it’s actually located in nearby Brentwood. But “The Fresh Prince of Brentwood” doesn’t sound quite so lofty, does it?

Granted, in reality, the difference between these two tony enclaves is subtle. Bel-Air, just minutes from West Hollywood, is a smaller area with winding streets and loads of privacy. Meanwhile, Brentwood feels like a more traditional neighborhood, albeit with lovely lush yards plus easy access to top-notch schools and world-class shopping, dining, and nightlife.

And if it’s celebrity residents you seek, both neighborhoods sport multimillion-dollar mansions and can point to many famous celebs as current and past residents.

“Bel-Air commands prestige: Elizabeth Taylor, Ronald Reagan, and Frank Sinatra all lived here, as have business and tech moguls like Elon Musk,” says Cara Ameer, a real estate agent with Coldwell Banker in Los Angeles.

Meanwhile, Brentwood’s residential bragging rights include Cindy Crawford, Gwyneth Paltrow,

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle got decor tips for new California mansion by Sir Elton John’s ‘extravagant’ designer

PRINCE Harry and Meghan Markle got decor tips for their new California mansion by Sir Elton John’s “extravagant” designer.

Martyn Lawrence Bullard, 53, was introduced to the former royal couple by the superstar after he decorated his Los Angeles apartment.

A source told The Mail on Sunday: “Elton put Harry and Meg in touch with Martyn after they moved to LA. They had a meeting and got on really well.

“Martyn was really helpful on where they should be house-hunting and what kind of properties.

“Some of his interiors are outrageous and over the top, but he’s also great at working out exactly what the client wants and delivering it.”

The decorator, from Kent, England, has previously worked with Kylie Jenner, Tommy Hilfiger, Cher, and Sharon Osbourne.

An industry source also told the outlet: “Martyn’s very popular and successful with all the big Hollywood stars.

“His taste is very extravagant and he doesn’t come cheap, but the end result is breathtaking.”

The royal couple swapped Los Angeles for nearby Montecito, Santa Barbara, home to A-listers such as Oprah Winfrey and Ellen DeGeneres.

Harry and Meghan have reportedly taken out a $9.5million mortgage on the nine-bedroom property, which was previously listed for $27million.

Their huge 14,563-square-foot “palatial” pad, known as “The Chateau,” was bought by Sergey Grishin in 2009 for $25million – however, he has struggled to find wealthy buyers able to meet the asking price.

It was eventually listed again in January, for around $17million and sold to the royal couple for around $2.5million under that asking price.

According to real estate agents who spoke with the LA Times, the deal was closed in an “off-market” sale in June.

Meghan is known to like the Soho House style of shabby-chic with vintage-inspired furniture.

James Corden’s wife Julia and her business partner Vicky Charles – who helped redesign Frogmore Cottage in Windsor – are also in the running to oversee any refurbishment of the couple’s £11 million, nine-bedroom, 17-bathroom home in Santa Barbara.

A spokesman for the Sussexes declined to comment last night.
