Syracuse, N.Y — One of the biggest attractions among the Carrier Dome’s renovations is a center-hung scoreboard that will among the biggest in the country.
The school provided its first look at the amenity in a Twitter video on Thursday. Have a look for yourself.
Built by Daktronics, the sides of the scoreboard are 62 1/2-feet wide and 20 feet tall, with concave corners that are 10 feet wide and 20 feet tall. There’s also a six-foot ribbon board that runs around the bottom on the interior.
The video also provides the first look at the new roof which, as the school has said previously, is a little different from the transparent version that has been passed along on some renderings. The school does believe it will increase the natural light in the building slightly.
