For sale: 1984 Winnebago. Newer tires. New awning purchased this year. Interior still sports the original brown shag rug and plaid color scheme. Sleeps five with a full dinette and microwave minus the kitchen.

There’s one caveat. The buyer must enjoy beer. The repurposed Winnebago includes  eight beer tap lines and one large cooler where the kitchen used to be.

Mark and Jim Grabowski, owners of Pewaukee-based The Beergo, are selling the RV, retrofitted to serve as a mobile beer garden, for $35,000. Included in the deal is a 1969 Harley-Davidson three-wheeler, retrofitted with four tap lines.

“We came into this year with a mindset of what our commitment was going to be for the side business,” said Jim Grabowski, who works for We Energies.

“We’re working full-time and trying to have families and lives and such,” he said. “It might be time for for somebody to take this bigger than we can take it.”

Since late 2016, the Beergo, — originally called the Winnebeergo — has been a regular presence at Pewaukee Lake Water Ski shows and the annual Parktoberfest  at Kiwanis Village Park in Pewaukee.

Grabowski said they turned down two or thee private events a week this summer although The Beergo was used for a friends’ wedding in the past.

He can think of all kinds of ways a brewery, bar or restaurant can use the repurposed RV.

“No one in the summer wants to be sitting in a bar,” he said. “This year kind of highlighted that. People want space, fresh air, a communal bond and the environment that bond provides.”

Some breweries have kicked the tires on The Beergo and a few restaurants have shown interest. Grabowski said they plan to make a decision soon.

“We’re hoping to have a smooth transition and help whoever takes it over,” he said.
