Where Were You When Michael Jackson Died?

In light of Michael Jackson’s upcoming funeral Tuesday morning, we want you to share your stories with us. Where were you when the King of Pop died?
Remember when two planes flew into the World Trade Center on 9/11? Or the moment Barack Obama became the first black president in U.S. history?
Like our parents and the many generations before them, we will forever remember these defining moments in history not only by the media frenzy that surrounded them, but by the very place we stood when we first heard the news.
The death of Michael Jackson is no exception. The King of Pop left a huge legacy behind, and fans the world over continue to mourn his loss.
In Israel, fans recently gathered at Dizengoff Square in Tel Aviv to reflect on the life of their beloved pop icon. According to reports by Ynet, “the devastated fans, some with tears in their eyes, met to talk about Jackson, offer support to one another, light candles and sign a huge poster, which they plan to place on his grave this week.”
Many Israeli fans plan to attend Michael Jackson’s funeral at the Staples Center in L.A. on Tuesday, July 7 at 10 a.m. Will you be there, too?

What does Michael Jackson have to do with Israel? True; he was an icon. True; he inspired many people. True; as a human being, he deserves to be remembered. However, as “the Official Blog of the State of Israel”, shouldn’t you be concerned with the USA’s reprehensible stance on the removal of the former Honduran president? Should you be concerned that the Obama administration is siding with socialist tyrants? Should you be concerned that Obama has stated that no sovreign country can be told what to do, yet in the next breath he tells Israel what to do in the West Bank?
Don’t be distracted, Israel. Stay vigilant! You WILL prevail against all who come against you.

I was on southlake blvd in southlake Texas with my 2 year old daughter nera, on our way to meet my parents for dinner. It was like 4:45 pm cst when my dad called me to check my iPhone for reports of michaels death. Some reports saying he was dead some saying nit sure. It was after we reached the restaurant in the middle of our meal that we saw live on fox news the cops barricading the hospital road. We knew either they would say he was alive and well or had passed from this life into eternity. He was so gifted, he loved and he loved to give and help others One of my all tine favorite performers. Wht a legacy. Xoxo
