Gilad Shalit’s Book Now on YouTube

Gilad Shalit’s (Schalit) book, When the Shark and the Fish First Met, now appears on YouTube to mark two years since he was kidnapped.
The Consulate General of Israel filmed five fifth-grade students from New York reading the story that Shalit wrote when he, too, was eleven years old. “Gilad was a boy our age when he wrote this story; if only we could write something so significant at this age. Today, no one knows where he is and he probably misses his parents,” said one of the students. “If the shark and fish can make peace, why can’t people?”

sorry, but Gilad was NOT kidnapped by terrorists!
he is a soldier that was taken captive by the opposing side’s soldiers.
but it is high time to make peace!

Very sweet and moving. So far-fetched from reality – how sad.
And YES – he WAS kidnapped, as in: he was taken away from his family by force. 730 days now. Trying to put in “other words” or in any other way is just pettiness.
May he soon be returned home!

GILAD WAS KIDNAPPED BY SAVAGE BLOOD-THISTY TERRORISTS! The hamas group are terrorists and definately not soldiers. Real soldiers don’t purposely attack women and children and use their own children as human shields.
Gilad is an honorable courageous young man who was defending his country. It is time to make peace but that will only happen when the Arabs stop attacking Israel through rockets and suicide bombings. The Arabs need to say no to terrorism and yes to peace!

In Acts we read about Paul taken prisoner by the romans. His brothers and sisters were constantly praying for his release. By the mighty hand of God his cell door opened up – great were the joy and gratitude when all by a sudden Paul stod amongst his brethren. Thank you. That was very touching especially as you have Gilad’s picture also swimming in your mind.
I know and believe that he, Gilad will be set free and I also believe that, “Yerushalayim! Mountains all around it! Thus Adonai is around his people henceforth and forever.” Ps 125:5 and God is with him too. He will be home soon.

The people of Israel have to stand up and take charge. We do not want another Ron Arad. We should take action! We should stop the delivery of any products to Gaza from Israel. No more gas, no more food, no more medical equipment, Nothing!!
If this does not return Gilad within a short period of time to be determined, than we should also stop any humanitarian deeds for anyone from Gaza to hospitals in Israel. Action must be taken now, if you would like to volunteer to be a human roadblock please contact me through this blog.

Each one thinks the other is the shark. The fear and the anger have built up for such a long time now. How do we get them to “play” together?

Father God,
I plead the blood of Jesus over Gilad life and his family. Please bring him home, safe and sound.
I pray no weapon formed against him, his family or Israel would prosper. Father I pray he has strenght, a strong mind. I pray that he draws close to you. Father our joy comes from you. What the devil meant for harm on both sides. I pray great mircles will come from this. I pray that all would know God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit in a mighty way. We all need you.
In Jesus Name Amen.
History has shown, that Israel is God’s chosen people. I know that God has not left or forsaken Israel. I also know God loves the gentiles.
We need the bible to show us God’s way.

What a wonderful story! This evening we where praying for the release of Gilad Shalit in the church here in Sunne in Sweden. We also prayed for his parents and family. I believe that he will soon be free. The time of freedom is coming!
