Science brings Israelis and Palestinians together
Sep 27th 2007 at 8:44am

In one of the most divided cities in the world, one Palestinian scientist opens the first Nanotechnology Research Laboratory in East Jerusalem, with the help of his mentor – an Israeli physicist at Hebrew University – whom he says gave him opportunities even when Arab institutions wouldn’t.
Dr. Mukhles Sowwan says his cutting-edge lab, which is working to find a new treatment for cancer in two to five years, wouldn’t have been possible without the help of his Israeli professor, Dr. Danny Porath. Together, they prove that science is a universal language.

Such a pity that people around the world don’t see (cause no one shows them) the beautiful things that happening in Israel.

I love to hear things like this. I wish that instead of just news reports of rockets and incursions, we would receive more information like this from Israel.
Thanks for this!
