With the environment rising on the list of global concerns, people everywhere are taking the extra step to make their lives a bit greener. For the new town of Nurit, in the Galilee, those considerations are part of the town planning process. Among other ideas, the town will be powered by renewable energy and each house will have a mini-reservoir and water recycling system. As Israel21c reports, Nurit’s planners hope these revolutionary ideas will make the town a model of eco-friendly living–and will also show off a new side of the Galilee’s legendary beauty.
