NanoIsrael 2009, Israel’s first ever conference on nanotechnology, took place yesterday and today in Jerusalem. Organizers, among them the Israel National Nanotechnology Initiative, wanted an opportunity to highlight the amazing advances being made in the field, and especially those in Israel. They got an added boost from President Shimon Peres who spoke (by video, naturally) about his personal commitment to this science. Israel is already one of the world leaders in the field, but that doesn’t mean we can’t set our sights even higher.
