The cream of Israel and New York’s young jazz talent came together in late February for a hot in-school jam session. While visiting the big apple, students from Israel’s Thelma Yellin High School of the Arts dropped into a jazz class at New York’s La Guardia High School of the Performing Arts, and these amazingly talented kids immediately came together in a meeting of jazz minds. The Israeli students’ ensemble, called Big Band, also performed at New York’s world-famous jazz club, Birdland.
