With winter approaching, it’s time once again to look for rain. Israel’s Mediterranean climate means that the country receives almost no rain during the summer and is therefore entirely dependent on the winter rain and snowfall. While a lot of rain is good, JPost reports on record rains in Haifa that may have been a bit too much, as some flooding occurred. Nonetheless, it is a sign that the Israeli summer is over. Since Israel has been suffering from a drought for several years, maybe this will be a sign of a better winter to come.
