Israelis with a World Beat

We’re quickly becoming exposed to a whole new set of Israeli artists here, and really proud of all the music they produce. Today’s lesson was about Balkan Beat Box, a group formed by two Israelis but which incorporates music from cultures around the world–Balkan (obviously), North African, and Palestinian among others. JPost has a full writeup in anticipation of their Tel Aviv shows this week, with more background on the artists and their music.
