Israeli Tennis Stars Gear Up for U.S. Open

Just a few days before setting foot in Arthur Ashe Stadium, top-ranked Israeli tennis players Andy Ram, Yoni Erlich, and Harel Levy led a tennis clinic for the New York Junior Tennis League.

Though they came to instruct, the pros found fierce competition from the junior tennis players, who seemed determined to give the Israeli pros a challenge.

This is the third year that the Israeli Consulate has hosted this event — a testament to the growing popularity and success of Israel’s tennis players.

Israel’s Consul General in New York said, “As I look around and see the smiles on everyone’s faces, I am assured that the common love of tennis can bridge any divide, whether it be language, cultural, racial, gender, or age.”
