Hebrew Book Week is celebrated in Israel this week (5/28-6/7), so it’s the perfect time to check out some of the great books published in Israel that have been translated into English. According to The Jewish National and University Library Reports, 7,860 new Israeli titles were published in 2007. Israel has the second highest per capita rating of new book releases, following the United Kingdom. Hebrew books are translated into English at an astonishing rate and can be found in American bookstores and are reviewed in publications accross the globe.
