A group of Israeli teenagers from Afula took part in the Skills@Work championship held in Sofia, Bulgaria from 11-13 March. This competition takes place on a national and international level and encourage students to think creatively, like an entrepreneur. Though they had competed together in the preliminary rounds, the teams during the final round were of mixed nationalities. Indeed the winning team had not only an Israeli, but also students from Bulgaria, Romania, the UK, and Serbia. The winning project, called “Easy Vote” designed a voting system to increase voting rates while reducing the cost to the government. (Thanks to Ynet for the story.)
