Israeli Delegation Heading to Copenhagen Outgames

Israel announced the formation of an official delegation to the World Outgames in Copenhagen with support–and some funding–from the Foreign Ministry. The Games will take place in the Danish capital between 25 July and 01 August of this year and are expected to attract 8,000 athletes from all over the world as well as many spectators for sports and culture. While the competition and events are aimed at the LGBT community, everyone is invited to participate. We should note that Israelis have taken part in gay pride events before (like last year’s New York Pride Parade).
