This year’s list of the worlds 2,000 largest companies, compiled by Forbes, contains 13 Israeli companies, up from just 10 last year. The companies listed cover a range of different fields, including banking and financials (Bank Leumi, Bank HaPoalim, IDB Holding, Israel Corp., Israel Discount Bank, Africa-Israel Investments, Mizrahi Tefahot bank, FIBI Holding, and Gazit-Globe), pharmaceuticals (Teva), oil and gas (Delek Group), telecommunications (Bezeq) and software (Check Point). Of course, there are a whole lot more Israeli companies out there, but its nice to see a few of the biggest recognized as world leaders.
