Designed by architectural mastermind Ron Arad, the Holon Design Museum is Israel’s first museum devoted entirely to design. Located in Holon, a suburb of Tel Aviv, the museum has 3,700 square meters that are quickly being filled with work from a variety of architects and sculptors.

Perhaps most impressive is the first piece that no visitor can avoid seeing - the building itself. Far from being just a place to house creations, the building itself is a lumbering, yet visually delightful steel mess of a structure. According to the Museum’s website, its artists seek to “inspire and challenge the design community and the general public’s perception of design and the way  it affects their lives.”
