If you happen to be in New York and want some insights into the amazing variety of Israeli cooking, you are hereby invited to two culinary adventures hosted by Janna Gur, author of The Book of New Israeli Food (which we covered here). Your first opportunity comes Friday night 14 November at the 92 Street Y Tribeca location: a feast of Israeli food and wine, highlighting recipes from Gur’s book. You’ll have a second chance to meet with the author on Monday 17 November at the Culinary Center at the Bowery Whole Foods. She’ll be doing a demonstration and tasting event called The Middle Eastern Meze Table, small appetizers that whet the palate for more delicious food to come. (Note: There are small fees associated with these events. Please check the websites for more information.)
