Children’s toys are designed to give kids a good time and–in the optimal situation–help them learn about the world around them.  Until now, many children with special needs have been unable to fully benefit from this experience due to limitations, especially in the development of fine motor skills.  Now, Ynet reports, that is all about to change thanks to the efforts of MILBAT: The Israel Center for Technology and Accessibility (Hebrew-only site), an organization that helps people with special needs address problems of daily living.  Some of these efforts include making switches for toys larger and more accessible, constructing holders for playing cards, and other simple but necessary adjustments.  Better yet, the only charge for the service is for the parts involved.
