Get the NBA Player Some Hummus!

From Maccabi Tel Aviv to the NBA, Omri Casspi, 21, has become the first Israeli to make it to the big league. The 6-foot-9, 225-pound forward was chosen as 23rd pick by the Sacramento Kings. Still, he says, he hasn’t found the perfect hummus yet in America.
Back at home in suburban Tel Aviv, his success has been nothing but a celebration. Casspi has not only achieved a goal; he has realized a nation’s dream. With basketball being the #2 sport in Israel, it’s no wonder Casspi has become a hometown hero.
He is currently in training in Sacramento, where many people have welcomed him with open arms, already wearing jerseys with his name scrawled on the back. Despite his excitement for the upcoming season, Casspi jokes that he’s still in search of some authentic Israeli hummus.
