Gawker and Heeb report on ‘Celebrities Salute Israel’

Since the Consulate General of Israel launched its campaign last week, dozens of blogs and magazines have reported on the clips and wished Israel a happy 60th anniversary.
Two publications particularly caught our attention. On Thursday, the media news and gossip blog-magazine Gawker published an amusing article on the Consulate’s initiative and shared the news with the rest of the blogosphere.
Heeb Magazine, another big online presence, has a nostalgic section in its article, where it reminisces on past celebrity-wishes (like Barbara Streisand’s live performance of Hatikva to Golda Meir) and others.
We strongly recommend a few moments of amusing reading on Heeb, Gawker and the rest.

One Comment:
Several laws have been enacted in Israel whose intention is clearly to maintain Jewish numerical superiority and to reinforce the Jewish character of the state, all of which belie the claim that Israel is a democracy.
