I wanted to get some articles on the effective way that the Jewish People have converted the useless land of Israel into fertile productive farmland since Israel became a nation. This is a start.

I was there in 2000-2001. It is def a very cool place- especially the swimming pool, tennis courts, all that sunshine... The best bit was the Marine Ecology class where we got to go diving on the reef in Eilat every Tuesday for a year, and get college credit! Unbelievable.

You studied at Machon Arava?! What year? I am 2004-2005 alumni... the Arava Institute is absolutely incredible. I don't know if you've been to Ketura recently, but they now have a huge algae-tech facility as well. Producing red algae in the desert - crazy stuff, but they've done very well with it.
