Fictional Character, Very Real Synthesizers

Israel’s hottest five-piece band is indeed led by Terry Poison, despite the fact that she doesn’t even exist. Call it post-modern escapism if you like, the band created someone whose life is far more interesting than our own, and this helps them create some really sick music.

Both Onili and today’s band have a couple of things in common. They’re both comprised of mostly women, they both have french influence and both bring electro-pop to a 21st century level. In the past few months Terry Poison has toured both the U.S and Europe, leaving a trail of smiles and heartbroken boys.

Known for their good music and fashion sense, the ladies (and Bruno, self-described “beatmaster”) are guaranteed to leave a mark on the Austin crowd at SXSW.
