Jet-setters, pack your bags. In Conde Nast Traveller’s annual roundup of the World’s Best Hotels, Tel Aviv’s Hotel Montefiore was chosen as one of the hottest properties for 2009. This marks the first time an Israeli hotel has ever made the Top 70 list. Sitting pretty at No. 23, the recently opened boutique Hotel Montefiore boasts a chic Bauhaus design, fitting in perfectly with Tel Aviv’s modern architecture scene. Guests are assigned personal staff members, and can enjoy a library of books (in multiple languages) in their uniquely decorated rooms. Did we mention the hotel’s restaurant arranges picnic baskets for the beach? If you’re looking for a little peace in the Middle East, let’s just say Hotel Montefiore comes pretty darn close.
