The Israeli classic song “Tzena, Tzena, Tzena, Tzena” has had a long and colorful history, even making it to #2 on the Bilboard magazine charts in 1950 ording by the Weavers. Now the song by Issachar Miron has made a comeback in a new version sung (in English, Hebrew, and Arabic) by Pete Seeger on his CD “Pete Seeger at 89,” Winner of the 2009 Grammy Award for best Traditional Folk Music Album. On the CD, Seeger pays tribute to Miron for his original authorship of the song.
