Coming live to the Harris Theater at Millennium Park, Chicago November 24th and 25th is the Israeli group, SHEKETAK. A combo of dance, body percussion, tap, hip-hop, live music and a new universe of sites and sounds that has gained worldwide praise.

SHEKETAK, often referred to as Israel’s answer to STOMP, is going to Chicago as part of Chicago Human Rhythm Project’s Global Rhythms 2, an event that focuses on our similarities rather than our differences through the basic human impulse of rhythmic movement.

SHEKETAK is bringing a 15-member group that combines movement, live music and video work, all based on rhythm and street energy. Originally started in 1997 by Danny Rachom and Zahi Patish, the group quickly grew from its small size of five performers to its current size of 15.

In addition to bringing the adrenaline level up a few decibels in Chicago, 50% of all the ticket proceeds from both their concerts went to worthy charitable organizations around Chicago.
