Muppet Grover

Shalom Sesame, the Israeli adaptation of Sesame Street, has lined up an all-star cast of celebrities to make appearances in its 12-part series set to debut in 2010. Just who are some of the big names? (Aside from Grover, of course.)

Jake Gyllenhall, Ben Stiller, and Christina Applegate, to name a few. The preschooler production will feature the globe-trotting muppet, Grover, and explore Jewish identity and traditions. The series is slated to film on location at several Israeli sites, including the Western Wall.

Other major celebrities in the lineup include Debra Messing, Greg Kinnear and Cedric the Entertainer, who will join puppets and children in segments filmed in Israel and the U.S., according to the series’ producers.
