About

‘isRealli’ is a project of the Israeli Consulate in New York City.

We know that when you mention Israel to most folks, all too often, the images that spring to mind involve deserts, warfare and bloody conflict.

But anyone who has visited the Land of Milk and Honey will tell you that Israel is so much more than that.

This one tiny strip of land – covered in forests, deserts, Mediterranean beaches and snow-covered mountains – plays host to a multi-faceted society that welcomes creativity, passion and drive. And what are the results?

Tantalizing restaurants, uber-creative fashion houses and cities pumping with nightlife and cultural institutions (not to mention the wealth of scientific and technological breakthroughs that occur behind university walls).

So, why a blog? Well, we wanted to bring this, somewhat hidden, side of Israel to the world, up close and personally. The ‘isRealli’ team is doing its best to scan the country and web for all things Israeli and interesting. We hope you enjoy!

This Blog is administered by David Saranga and his team at the Israel Consulate in New York.
