92nd Street Y Celebrates Tel Aviv 100

Photo: 92nd Street Y
With the centennial anniversary of Tel Aviv’s founding just weeks away, the celebrations of this historic moment have begun in earnest. And now you can celebrate too–in New York!
The 92nd Street Y is presenting an exhibition of twenty six color photographs of Tel Aviv by Aviv Levin, who lived in the city for more than 50 years. These pictures document the city’s many features, from the impoverished southern neighborhoods to the modern high-rises, including the landscape, street scenes, daily life, and urban still life. The work effectively chronicles the incredible growth and complexity of this exciting modern city.
The show will be open from 11 March-29 April, with an opening reception on 11 March from 5-6:45 P.M.
